Hats and Dominos

I recently had the priviledge of doing some work for my dear friend, Cathy Stanfill of Huntington Beach. Cathy belongs to the Red Hat Society (Ruby Rail Cruisers) and needed some help with re-designing her red hat. Also, Cathy wanted a couple of domino necklaces created to her design. I went to work on the hat, domino necklaces and key chains and now I would like to share them with you. I have  enjoyed designing and decorating for Cathy. Best wishes on wearing your new hat!

Long Time

It has been a long while since my last post. So many things have happened. My beloved pet, "Sandy" went to Rainbow Bridge on June 4th, 2011. The void in my life has been great. My stepson has moved to Yuma, AZ to find work and help his mother. My long time friend, La Rue has moved in and I have decided not to continue on in school at this crossroads.  I would like to work on my own jewelry designs and continue my art and craft development. Here are a few pics to remember my beloved pet, beautiful Sandy Girl. You sheltered me from so many storms in life.  Bless you my wonderful friend.

SPA BANQUET

I joined the ladies at Calvary Tablenacle Church in our summer women's group for Under the Sea Spa Banquet. My friend Becky and I decorated (just a little assistant from me). I made Fresh Herb Dip and vegetables. It was the first time trying this recipe and turned out delicious. This Fresh Herb Dip will be great for the holidays coming up.
Here is the Recipe:
FRESH HERB DIP
1 C Lite Olive Oil Mayo
1 C Low Fat Sour Cream
2 T  Fresh Parsley Chopped Fine
1 T  Fresh Rosemary Chopped Fine
1 T  Fresh Thyme Chopped Fine
1 T  Packaged Onion Soup/Dip Mix
Dash of Pepper
Mix all ingredients together and chill for a few hours before serving. Can be served with vegetables, your favorite crackers and a spread for sandwiches. ENJOY!

Desert Stream

One of my favorite places in California is Whitewater near Palm Springs. My father used to go fishing there. Sorry I never had the chance to go with him. Our dog, Sandy loves to go swimming in the cold water. Enjoy!

Metal Art

The teacher in my art class decided to give us an assignment. This was rare considering the class consisted of more studying the book and tests than actual projects. But, on this rare occasion we could strut our stuff.

Old Bottles

A love to repurpose things and give them new life. Above is a few old bottles that were laying around in my friends back yard. So I took them (with her permission) and gave them a new purpose.
